This is how Dr. Tyler Bond got here.
Before Dentistry,There Was Everything Else
Tyler Bond grew up as the oldest of four in Washington State. He earned his Eagle Scout award, played trombone in the jazz band, finished his Associates degree while still in high school, and worked 20 to 30 hours a week at an auto parts warehouse before ever setting foot on a college campus.
After high school, he served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Denver, Colorado. When he came back, he enrolled at Brigham Young University on a half-tuition scholarship and studied environmental science and business management.
It was during that time, in 2013, that he started job-shadowing in healthcare. He tried a few different paths. Dentistry was the one that stuck after shadowing PK Clark and the White Cap Institute
He applied to dental school a full two years before he was set to graduate from BYU. On December 1st, 2013, he received his acceptance letter from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. Shortly after, he accepted the four-year Health Professions Scholarship Program from the United States Navy.
He had a plan. He was going to see it through.

Dr. Bond took to dental school the way he took to most things: by putting in more work than anyone around him.
By the time he graduated, he had placed 40 dental implants as a student. That was more than any student in the history of Midwestern University's dental program. The record has not been broken since.
He also earned more continuing education credits in a single year of dental school than most practicing dentists accumulate in their first decade.
He graduated with honors and took home two implant dentistry awards from the AAID, one from AAID and one from the school.
It was a strong signal of what was coming next.

Graduating dental school with a Navy scholarship meant one thing: it was time to serve.
Dr. Bond was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps and stationed first at Naval Base Kitsap in Washington State, and then at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, where he treated active-duty Marines.
The cases were not easy. The volume was high. The patients needed real answers, not approximations. There was no shortage of complexity, and there was no room to be slow about it.
That experience did something that dental school could not fully replicate. It sharpened his clinical instincts, built his tolerance for high-stakes situations, and gave him a standard of care he has never lowered since."
Honorably Discharged — After 4 Years of Active Duty
Coming Home and Building Something New
After his discharge, Dr. Bond settled in Missoula, Montana, and built his dental practice from the ground up, while also taking on the demanding role of main dental surgeon for the State Prison. He brought the same discipline and volume-mindset from his Navy years into his civilian career, and it showed.
When the Yomi robotic surgery system came onto the market — the first and only FDA-cleared robot for dental implant procedures — Dr. Bond was among the earliest adopters in the country.
He was the first dentist in Montana to implement it.
The result was not just a technological upgrade. His practice revenue grew tenfold. More importantly, his patients began receiving implant placements with a level of accuracy and consistency that would not have been possible with conventional freehand methods. Better outcomes. More predictable results. Fewer complications.
That combination is what drew the dental industry's attention, and it is what keeps his schedule full.

Dr. Bond joined the faculty at The Implant Pathway in 2024, one of the country's leading implant dentistry training programs, because he remembers what the learning curve felt like.
He works with dentists who are ready to improve their surgical skills and add advanced implant procedures to their practice. Some are just starting out with implants. Others are looking to add robotics or full-arch protocols to a practice that already has a foundation. He has worked with both.
His approach is direct. He shares what works, explains what does not, and gives people real clinical experience alongside the theory.

Outside the Office
He is not a complicated person. He works hard, takes care of his patients,
teaches what he knows, and goes home to his family.
Building a Life in Montana
Tyler met Rachel in Provo, Utah, in 2013.
They got married, moved to Glendale for dental school, and have been building a life together ever since. They have three kids; two daughters and a son, and two Rough Collies named Max and Lizzie, who came home with them after the Camp Lejeune years.
The family spends time in McCall and Island Park, with both sides of their family close enough to visit on weekends. They ski, play board games, and get outside as much as Montana allows.
Scuba Diver — Rescue Certified
Tyler started scuba diving at 14. He has logged over 60 dives, earned his Rescue Diver certification, and has gone as deep as 140 feet.
